absolutely love this salon! The staff is so sweet and welcoming, and they always make me feel comfortable from the moment I walk in. The owner is incredibly cordial and attentive, which makes the experience even better. My hair has never felt this healthy thanks to their amazing treatments, it’s grown longer and stronger than ever. I highly recommend Cocoa, you can truly see the expertise that Colombian women bring to hair care, and it shows in every strand
Since the moment I walked into Cocoa Capilar, I felt so welcomed! The staff was incredibly sweet, friendly, and attentive. I came in for a haircut and some hydration, and Alexa recommended the “Aminoacid Treatment “exactly what I was looking for since I wanted something nourishing without harsh chemicals. And omg!!! I absolutely loved it ❤️ I walked in with my hair looking dry and lifeless, and left with it looking stunning 🤩 My haircut is perfect, my hair feels healthy, and I left the salon super happy. I will definitely be coming back!
Initially great service when I went the first time. Idk if the the hair artist Monica is still there but she was wonderful and def knew what she was doing. I have natural back hair and was originally blonde with some growth and wanted to change to copper. Had some growth in but Monica made the colors blend seamlessly. When I tried going to Monica the second time they said she had family commitments and was not at the salon at the moment. Second time, the owner “filled in my roots”. She did not talk to me about price until the end and was treating it as a full color change because the roots were about 4 inches grown in. She gave me a price and I told her the price her receptionist mentioned which was about $80 less than what she quoted me. She was not happy and went to double check and verified what I said was accurate. Got the service all seemed well but after 2 washes I noticed she did not do the color correctly and there was a noticeable difference in colors from when Monica did it. It did not blend seamlessly the way it did the last time. Wanted to give them a second chance at a 10 week follow up to get roots filled in but they wanted to charge me a full hair color change to fix owner’s mistake and “fill in” roots. Do not understand. If I had gotten it done someplace else totally understand if it were a full change color correction but it was literally the owners mistake that needed correcting… Will not be going back again. Only giving 2 stars because Monica did a superb job the first time.
I tried giving this place a chance but there's always SOMETHING unfortunately. The first time I went it was extremely hot I asked if the door could be opened or the AC could be turned on and they refused both so my hair was falling apart before even finishing the blowout. Then on a separate occasion they gave me a price 30 minutes later another lady came and gave me a different price so I had to pay an extra $50 from the original price b/c they do the fake nice talk or "ICONIC ACCENT" so I folded plus I was too exhausted to explain why those practices are unethical. Then on the last occasion (won't be giving them another opportunity) I went to get a hair trim they said they could do it and to just wait my turn so I said great can I come back and have my spot she said yes and after 20 minutes I came back in comfortable clothes and drinks and they told me they could do it in 3 days since their hair specialist was stuck in traffic and decided to go back home like WHAT ＼(°o°)／ I was there for a trim. ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯ Also the place is very small and heavily congested with merchandise and unused equipment so take that into consideration ladies before spending money and energy at this place also very minimal English ರ╭╮ರ to all my beautiful overstimulated Queens steer clear lol
